Webphone Error - Microphone Issue

If you are using Genius and you see the following messages in your webphone, you may have an issue with Genius finding your audio device(s). 

Here are possible messages you may see when we're having issues with your audio devices:

Microphone Issue

  • Not Supported Error (NotSupportedError)
    • Microphone access is not supported in this browser. Please ensure you're using one of our supported web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) and you have set up the browser via the browser configuration guidelines
  • Abort Error (AbortError)
    • We were unable to get access to your microphone, please ensure that it is connected to your computer and is shown in the webphone settings as your selected audio device
  • Overconstrained Error (OverconstrainedError)
    • We could not locate a suitable audio device. Please ensure that your headset is connected to your computer properly and can be seen by Genius. Try opening your webphone settings and ensure the right device is connected to your webphone. Please see our browser configuration guidelines for more details on how to grant microphone permissions.
  • Unknown Error (UnknownError)
    • We've encountered an error getting access to your microphone. Please see our browser configuration guidelines for more details on how to grant microphone permissions.

Page Load Error

  • Invalid State Error (InvalidStateError)
    • There was an issue loading the page, please try refreshing the page
