A Letter of Intent (LOI), also known as a Letter of Authority, describes the reason for acquiring your Japan national number and its intended use.
Why This Is Required
Japan's regulator requires this letter before your number can be activated.
What You Need to Provide

The completed Japan National Letter of Intent - Template.docx, on your company letterhead, including:
- Company name
- Authorized Contact details
- The service description for the number
- Title and name of authorized signatory, e.g., CEO, CFO
- Signature of authorized signatory
- Company stamp
- Only fill in the fields highlighted in yellow — completely replace each with your own information; leave everything else unchanged
- If you don't have your AVOXI number yet, you can remove that reference
- Signature from an authorized signatory of the sender
