Forwarding rules for each number are required before a port can be submitted.
Why This Is Required
This allows AVOXI to test the forwarding destination before starting the port, preventing any downtime by confirming the termination works before the port is submitted.
What You Need to Provide
- Your forwarding destination for the number
- If forwarding to an IP/SIP address: you must set up number forwarding on your end first to avoid downtime — this requirement doesn't apply if forwarding to a regular DID or ITFS. See Managing SIP URIs in AVOXI Genius or Configuring AVOXI - Microsoft Teams for setup help
How to Submit It
- Set up your forwarding destination in your AVOXI online account Genius portal — you can update this at any time.
- See our informative guide for help.
- Our number team will review it. Your account status updates automatically once we finish.
- You will usually hear from us within 24 hours. For urgent help, call +1 (770) 937-9735.
Forwarding to IP/SIP
If you are forwarding to an IP/SIP address, please keep in mind that you will need to set up number forwarding on your end first to avoid any potential downtime. This requirement does not apply if you are forwarding to a regular DID or ITFS. You will be able to set up or update the forwarding on your Genius portal at any time, use the below guides for more information.
