IT Tip of the Week: Get Creative with Custom Shortcuts in Google Docs!

Hey Team AVOXI,

Ready to take your Google Docs game to the next level? Create custom shortcuts to save time and boost your productivity. It's super simple and a great way to personalize your workflow.

Here’s how to create your own shortcuts in Google Docs:

  • Open Google Docs on your computer.
  • Click on Tools in the top menu.
  • Select Preferences.
  • Go to the Substitution tab.

You'll find some pre-set shortcuts, like changing 3/4 to ¾. Feel free to add your own!

Creating Custom Shortcuts:

  • In the Replace column, type the text you want to use as a shortcut.
  • In the With column, type what you want it to be replaced with.
  • Click OK to save your new shortcut.

Bonus Tip:

Get creative with your shortcuts! You can use them for common phrases, symbols, or anything you frequently type. This little tweak can make your work faster and a lot more fun.

Happy shortcutting,

The AVOXI IT Team
