How do I setup Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) with AVOXI?

Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) allows you to keep an existing phone provider(s) while using AVOXI to receive inbound calls, with no limit to the number of carriers you can use. The value-added service is available to Enterprise License holders and is a popular alternative to number porting. The functionality gives you the ability to benefit from the many value-added features AVOXI offers without jeopardizing an established, sometimes long term relationship with your existing provider.  In addition, it also allows you to use your AVOXI platform in countries where we currently don't offer a phone number.

Once set up the relevant phone number will appear as normal within your AVOXI AVOXI account.  When the number is called, the call will be received by your original carrier, who will then forward the call to AVOXI's network via SIP.  When AVOXI receives that call, it will automatically appear within your Webphone.

NOTE: Numbers will need to be provided to AVOXI in the E.164 format.  We only accept the following codecs G729, 711 ulaw, and 711 alaw.
