Do I need a contract for SMS?

We offer month-to-month packages with no contract.  Your plan begins the day we verify your account, and we make it easy to start and stop your service at any time.  Additional pricing options are available upon inquiry—no 30-day trial.


What is the difference between P2P and A2P messaging? 

P2P, or person-to-person messaging, is a two-way (back and forth) messaging conversation between two humans.  A2P, or application-to-person messaging, is any traffic where a person receives messages from an application.  A2P messaging includes (but is not limited to) marketing messages, appointment reminders, chatbots or virtual assistants, notifications, and one-time passwords (OTPs) or PIN codes.


Is there a mobile app for SMS?

No.  Since your SMS messages are forwarded to your email, you can access those messages anywhere you have access to your email.


Does character limit my SMS responses?

You can send messages up to 160 characters.  If you send a longer message, it will be broken up into multiple messages to your recipient.  You will be charged per message.


Can I block customers from texting my SMS number?

No, at this time, we do not have that capability. 


Can I forward my incoming SMS to a group email address? 

Yes.  You can forward to any email address, including forwarding to application email addresses such as a CRM email to case.  This will allow your team to respond to and manage incoming inquiries.


Can I use emojis in my SMS responses?

Yes, we support all written languages, including emojis.


What happens if my out-of-office responder is turned on for the email to which I am forwarding messages? 

Your customers will get SMS messages, including your out-of-office responses.  You may want to set up rules to not respond to these messages or change your forwarding address to a group email address. 


Can SMS forwarding be used for verifications?

Our current business texting / SMS forwarding is NOT designed to be used for verifications.  SMS Virtual numbers are not compatible with verification systems and will be automatically blocked


Does SMS forward to WhatsApp? 

No, it cannot currently forward to other applications like WhatsApp.


Can a business use SMS to initiate a text message to its customer? 

No, at this time, a business can only reply to a message initiated by its customers. 


Can I purchase SMS Forwarding on a Non-US or Canada number?

When responding to a customer's SMS/ Business text, will the recipient know I am emailing them? 

No! Your responses will look like a text message to anyone you correspond with.  Our system will remove any email signatures, etc.


What does the incoming SMS look like in my inbox?

SMS messages will include the subject "SMS from (and the user's number) and the body of their text message.  (I will not pull names)
