If you're moving a number away from AVOXI to a new provider, your new carrier will usually ask for a port-out authorization code before they can complete the transfer. Here's how to get it.
What a Port-Out Code Is
A port-out code proves you're the rightful owner of the number and gives your new ("gaining") carrier permission to request it from AVOXI (the "losing" carrier in this case). The exact name and format of this code depends on the country: in the US and Canada it's usually an account number plus a PIN; other countries use different formats, such as an authorization code from the local regulator or carrier. Whatever it's called locally, it works the same way — it's your green light for the new carrier to start the port.
How to Request It
- Contact AVOXI Support through your online support portal, or by emailing support@avoxi.com
- Tell us you're porting the number(s) away and share the exact number(s) involved.
- Let us know your new carrier's name if you have it — some countries' codes are carrier-specific.
- We'll confirm your account details and provide the code, account number, or PIN needed for your new carrier.
- Pass this information to your new carrier so they can submit the port request on your behalf.
