Quick answers about tracking your number orders, uploading compliance documents, AI document review, and porting numbers to AVOXI. For a full walkthrough, see Tracking Your Phone Number Order Status & Document Submission.

Order status and delivery timelines

Where can I see numbers I recently ordered?

  • Select Numbers in the left-side menu, then the Orders tab. Orders in Progress shows active orders, with anything that needs your attention pinned in the Action Required section at the top.
  • Completed and canceled orders are in Order History. New orders can take up to 24 hours to appear.

Where can I see completed or canceled orders?

  • Select Order History on the Orders tab. It shows every complete and canceled order with its closed date.

Why does my delivery date show as "Unavailable"?

We're waiting for information or a regulatory document from you, and the order status is Information Required.

  • Once your documents are uploaded and approved, an estimated date appears.
  • A confirmed delivery date appears as soon as the local carrier gives us a Firm Order Commitment (FOC) date.

How long does it take for a new virtual number to become active?

It depends on local carrier inventory and regional regulatory processing:

  • In-stock numbers: most are ready by the next business day.
  • Special orders or local shortages: if a number needs a specialized carrier queue, our provisioning team will update your dashboard or email you within 24 hours.

Compliance documents and AI review

How do I submit regulatory documents for my new numbers?

  1. Go to Numbers > Orders and open the order in the Action Required section.
  2. Scroll to Documentation and select Attach Document next to the document you need to provide.
  3. Check the requirements listed for your country and number type (for example, passport, utility bill or letter of intent).
  4. Upload your file (.pdf, .jpg, .png or .csv, up to 10 MB), or select a document you've already submitted.
  5. Check the Business Profile under Associate With, then select Analyze.

How long does the document review take?

With AI document review turned on, you'll usually get an answer in about 30 seconds while you're still on the page. Documents that need a person to review them are typically reviewed by the AVOXI compliance team within 24 business hours. Your order status updates as soon as a document is approved or declined.

What is AI document review?

It's an automatic check of your document against the exact requirements for that country and number type, for example that it was issued recently, the address is readable, the name matches your account, and it isn't a P.O. box. If everything passes, the document is approved straight away. If not, you'll see what to fix so you can upload a corrected document right away.

Does AVOXI use generative AI to review my documents?

No. Document review uses a private, internal AVOXI model. It isn't generative AI or a public large language model (LLM), and it doesn't create or change your documents. It only reads and checks them.

Can I have a person review my document instead?

Yes. In the Attach Document window, turn off Allow AI to scan document before you select Analyze. If the toggle is grayed out, AI scanning is managed for your whole account; an Administrator can change it in Settings > AI Controls.

What happens if the AI can't approve my document?

You'll see guidance on what to fix, such as an unreadable scan or an expired document. If the document still can't be approved automatically, it's sent to the AVOXI team for manual review and we'll notify you of the outcome. You won't get stuck: a person always reviews anything the AI can't clearly approve.

I uploaded my documents, but my number is still blocked. What should I do?

Nothing, if your order shows Under Review. Local providers restrict service until your identity is verified, so the number stays restricted until all required documents are approved and the carrier completes activation. You can set up forwarding rules on the number in the meantime.

Do I need to re-upload documents for future orders?

Usually not. Approved documents are stored securely in your account. When you order more numbers in the same region with the same requirements, AVOXI can add a matching approved document for you (it shows an AI Selected badge), or you can choose it with Select From Library instead of uploading again.

What needs to be included in a Letter of Intent (LOI)?

If local regulations require an LOI, it must be on your official company letterhead and include:

  • Your full business name and website URL.
  • Authorized corporate contact details.
  • A clear explanation of how your business will use the number.
  • The physical signature and title of an authorized company officer (for example, CEO or Director), plus a company stamp if applicable.

Number porting

When does billing start for ported numbers?

Only once your transfer is complete and the number is active on our network. Monthly charges are paused during the porting process.

Can I check whether my numbers can be transferred before I start?

Yes. Test your numbers in the platform before you request a transfer:

  1. Go to Numbers and select Port Request.
  2. Select your origin country.
  3. Paste up to 200 phone numbers into the Number Portability Tester to check the whole batch at once.

You can also ask your Account Manager to set up a porting project and detailed quote.

What do the portability results mean?

  • Portable: the number can be transferred. You'll see a checklist of required documents, such as a recent Letter of Authorization and a copy of your bill.
  • Processing Required: the number needs manual coordination because of local carrier restrictions. You can still add it to your cart, and an AVOXI porting expert will contact you with a custom timeline.
  • Not Portable / Invalid: our carriers don't support or recognize the number. Contact sales@avoxi.com to explore other options.

What if my port is declined?

The order status changes to Port Declined, usually because of incorrect account information or a suspended line. Open the order, update your details, and we'll resubmit the port.

Will my business lines have downtime during porting?

No. Your numbers stay active with your current provider until the switch to AVOXI, which happens behind the scenes with no loss of service.

How long does a standard number transfer take?

Timelines depend on regional regulations and how quickly your current carrier responds. On average:

  • US toll-free numbers: 3 to 7 business days.
  • US local numbers (DID): 1 to 3 weeks.
  • International numbers (toll-free or local): about 30 business days, depending on the country.
